The Institute is organising a closed-door forum, «Ukraine Tomorrow», in Kyiv on 28 August.

Briefly about the main points

The Recovery Institute of Ukraine positions itself as a strategic public platform.

The Institute will view recovery in broader terms than mere physical reconstruction.

Sokolov attributes the organisation’s establishment to consultations in the US.

The «Ukraine Tomorrow» forum will be held by personal invitation only.

The discussions should result in a joint strategic document.

A platform for decisions on the country’s development

Recovery Institute of Ukraine It positions itself as an expert, analytical and communications platform. Its stated aim is to develop comprehensive solutions for the country’s recovery, development and sustainable growth.

The Institute’s agenda extends beyond the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure. According to him, the American side takes both the institution and the forthcoming forum very seriously.

The MP cited the Council for National Policy, the International Republican Institute and the American Foreign Policy Council as points of reference based on their experience. However, there are no references in the publicly available materials of these organisations to any official partnership, funding or involvement in the establishment of the Recovery Institute of Ukraine. Thematic similarities and contacts do not imply formal support for the project.

A closed-door meeting and a document summarising the discussions

The «Ukraine Tomorrow» International Forum will take place in Kyiv behind closed doors. The organisers are expecting 200–250 participants, and all discussions will take place in a single room under the Chatham House Rule. This rule allows the information shared to be used, but prohibits the disclosure of the identity or affiliation of any particular speaker.

The programme includes discussions on the economic model, engagement with the Ukrainian diaspora, human capital and demographics, humanitarian policy and social cohesion, as well as Ukraine’s role in the world. The forum’s website lists free markets, deregulation, protection of property rights, predictable tax policy, transparent privatisation and competition among its economic principles.

The organisers plan to draw up a single joint strategic document.
