The FP-9 is to be fitted with a solid-fuelled engine and a guidance system integrated with Ukrainian command and control and reconnaissance systems.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"12p69wc\" data-start=\"1566\" data-end=\"1609\">When might the FP-9 be used against Russia?<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1611\" data-end=\"1775\">The rocket is currently at the development and testing stage. Therefore, the specifications given are those stated by the manufacturer and are subject to confirmation during full-scale flight tests.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1777\" data-end=\"2094\">According to the information <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/\">Ukrmedia News<\/a>, Fire Point expects to carry out the first operational deployment of the smaller FP-7 missile in early autumn, and that of the significantly more powerful FP-9 in late autumn 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2260\">This refers to the manufacturer\u2019s plan, the implementation of which will depend on the success of the trials, the completion of the codification process by the Ministry of Defence, and readiness for mass production.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1buk62j\" data-start=\"2262\" data-end=\"2304\">Which sites will be within range?<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2532\">A range of 855 kilometres will allow <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/science-tech\/fp-7-kodyfikatsiya-fp-9-osen\/\">FP-9<\/a> to strike military, industrial, logistical and energy facilities deep within Russian territory. Depending on the launch site, the Moscow region could also potentially fall within the range.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2534\" data-end=\"2785\">With a warhead weighing up to 800 kilograms, the FP-9 is significantly more powerful than the American ATACMS, which, depending on the variant, have a shorter range and a smaller warhead.
