The facility contained essential supplies for children and families affected by the war. The organisation stated that the loss of these supplies would make it more difficult to support the most vulnerable people as winter approaches.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The warehouse in Chubynskyi was contracted by UNICEF to store aid.<\/li>\n<li>The value, quantity and full list of the lost goods have not yet been made public.<\/li>\n<li>A 15-year-old girl and a 73-year-old woman were injured during the attack in the region.<\/li>\n<li>In July, another UNICEF warehouse in Bilohorodka lost stocks amounting to approximately $3.9 million.<\/li>\n<li>Restoring stocks will take time and complicate pre-winter logistics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>What is known about the loss of UNICEF\u2019s supplies<\/h2>\n<p>The warehouse was contracted by the organisation to store aid for Ukrainian children and families. <strong>UNICEF<\/strong> did not disclose the exact value of the destroyed stock, the quantity involved or a full list of the goods.<\/p>\n<p>The organisation stated that the loss of these stocks \u00abmakes it more difficult to provide vital support to the most vulnerable, particularly as another harsh winter approaches\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h2>Following the attacks, damage was reported in five districts of the region<\/h2>\n<p>On the night of 27 August <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/main-news\/udar-po-logistychnykh-kompleksakh-kyivshchyny\/\">Russian troops attacked the Kyiv region<\/a> with attack drones and ballistic missiles. Damage to warehouses was reported, in particular, in the Boryspil and Fastiv districts; on that day, two casualties were reported \u2014 a 15-year-old girl and a 73-year-old woman.<\/p>\n<p>In Chubynske, the Roshen warehouse \u2013 where finished products were stored and prepared for further distribution \u2013 was also destroyed. As of 28 August, following further attacks over the next 24 hours, the authorities reported damage to 14 warehouses, 16 private homes and three blocks of flats, as well as 16 cars in the Fastiv, Boryspil, Vyshhorod, Brovary and Bucha districts.<\/p>\n<h2>In July, another UNICEF warehouse was damaged<\/h2>\n<p>On 19 July, a Russian attack severely damaged the UNICEF warehouse in Bilohorodka, in the Kyiv region. More than 106,000 items of humanitarian aid, with an estimated value of 3.9 million dollars, were destroyed there.<\/p>\n<p>The losses in July included generators, drinking water, hygiene kits and water tanks. These figures relate to the depot in Bilohorodka, not the recent loss. At the time, UNICEF noted that damage to humanitarian warehouses directly hinders the delivery of aid to the population.<\/p>\n<h2>Stocks will need to be replenished ahead of the winter response<\/h2>\n<p>UNICEF is preparing winter aid for vulnerable families, <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/economics\/vpo-zhytlovi-vauchery-32-tys-66-mlrd-ukraine\/\">internally displaced persons<\/a> and residents of affected and frontline areas. The organisation\u2019s plan for the 2026\u20132027 season provides for support for three million people, including 540,000 children, and requires $160.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>The supplies destroyed in Chubynsk will have to be replenished and redelivered.
