The group is also getting involved in hydrocarbon exploration in the country, whilst continuing to regard SOCAR Energy Ukraine as one of its strategic priorities.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first five complexes of SOCAR\u2019s new network have been laid in Uzbekistan.<\/li>\n<li>The company\u2019s project covers fuel retail and hydrocarbon exploration.<\/li>\n<li>Exploration at Ustyurt depends on the results of seismic surveys and boreholes.<\/li>\n<li>The Ukrainian SOCAR network has shelters for staff and customers.<\/li>\n<li>The company is working with Naftogaz to finalise gas import routes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Retail and intelligence are developing in parallel<\/h2>\n<p>The first facilities represent the initial phase of the future network, rather than its final planned capacity. SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz are also working on production activities in the country.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2025, the parties signed a production-sharing agreement covering the investment blocks in the Ustyurt oil and gas region. It provides for 3D seismic surveys covering at least 1,000 square kilometres and geological exploration at one well. The transition to development and production is possible once commercial reserves have been confirmed.<\/p>\n<h2>The Ukrainian network is continuing its modernisation<\/h2>\n<p>SOCAR Energy Ukraine remains a strategic focus of the group\u2019s international operations. The company has set up fully-equipped shelters for customers and staff at its Ukrainian sites.<\/p>\n<p>The network is continuing to modernise its service stations and consistently ranks amongst the fuel market\u2019s largest taxpayers. SOCAR cites the Ukrainian experience as one example of operational resilience and service standards.<\/p>\n<h2>Cooperation with Naftogaz extends beyond petrol stations<\/h2>\n<p>SOCAR is working with Naftogaz to map out routes for <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/economics\/socar-pryami-postavky-gazu-ukrainu\/\">wholesale gas imports<\/a>. The company is also involved in the supply of equipment for critical infrastructure and the railways.<\/p>\n<p>A practical step in gas cooperation was the trial supply of Azerbaijani gas via the Bulgaria\u2013Romania\u2013Ukraine route in July 2025. Naftogaz described it as small in volume, yet strategically important for the diversification of supply sources.<\/p>\n<p>Construction of the Uzbek petrol stations has already begun, whilst the exploratory project in Ustyurt depends on the results of geological surveys.
