Social Policy Committee approves draft law on child benefits for second reading<\/h2>\n

New social initiatives<\/h3>\n

Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy Approved the draft law on child benefits<\/strong>, which provides for a significant increase in financial support for Ukrainian families. This was announced by MP Alexey Goncharenko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Document prepared for the second reading<\/strong>, and will soon be submitted to the Parliament for consideration.<\/p>\n

\n

Main provisions of the draft law<\/h3>\n

According to the updated version, it is expected:
50 000 UAH<\/strong> - one-time childbirth allowance;
7000 UAH<\/strong> - monthly childcare allowance for a child under 1 year of age;
8000 UAH<\/strong> - childcare allowance for children aged 1 to 3 years if the parents have returned to work.<\/p>\n

\n

When the law comes into force<\/h3>\n

Once adopted by the Verkhovna Rada and signed by the President, the law will come into force from 1 January 2026<\/strong>.
The payments will also apply to children who are under the age of 1 at the time<\/strong>, even if they were born before that date.<\/p>\n

\n

Social significance<\/h3>\n

The initiative aims to support for the birth rate<\/strong> and Reducing the financial burden on young families<\/strong>.
