Families will wait longer<\/h2>\n

Families of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers are forced to wait up to eight years for compensation payments<\/strong> - instead of three, as it was before.
This was reported by the MP Sofia Fedina<\/strong>, noting that the government's mechanism for financing payments does not have time to process a large number of applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00abPreviously, families received funds for three years, but now this period has been almost tripled - up to eight years. This means that the process will take years,\u00bb the MP said.<\/p>\n

Reasons for the delay<\/h3>\n

According to Fedina, increase in the number of applications<\/strong>, bureaucratic procedures and insufficient funding<\/strong> were the main reasons for the increase in waiting times.
The MP stressed that this situation is unacceptable<\/strong>, The families of the fallen heroes are left without proper support from the state.<\/p>\n

What we know about payments<\/h3>\n

This is compensation provided by law for families of servicemen who died while performing combat missions<\/strong>.
The amount of the one-time allowance is 15 million hryvnias<\/strong>, which should be distributed among the family members of the deceased.<\/p>\n

Previously, payments were made gradually, but due to budgetary pressures and complicated approvals from the Ministry of Defence, the process has slowed down significantly.<\/p>\n
