This amount is equivalent to three times the minimum wage. In the event of a breach of the payment deadlines, the employee must also be compensated for the loss of part of their income.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The penalty for a prolonged delay or incomplete payment is three times the minimum wage.<\/li>\n<li>The minimum wage has been set at 8,647 UAH with effect from 1 January.<\/li>\n<li>Salaries must be paid at least twice a month.<\/li>\n<li>Unregistered work could cost 86,470 UAH per employee.<\/li>\n<li>Half of the financial penalty may be paid within 10 banking days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Employment sanctions depend on the minimum wage<\/h2>\n<p>From 1 January, financial penalties for breaches of labour legislation have increased following the setting of the minimum wage at 8,647 UAH by the Law on the State Budget for 2026. A significant proportion of the fines provided for under Article 265 of the Labour Code are calculated as a multiple of this figure.<\/p>\n<p>Financial penalties may be imposed on legal entities and sole traders who employ staff. The procedure for imposing such penalties is set out in Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 509 of 17 July 2013.<\/p>\n<h2>Undeclared work and \u00abunder-the-table\u00bb payments\u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>For actually allowing a person to work without an employment contract, registering part-time work when the person is in fact working full-time, the unlawful use of contracts with flexible working hours, or the payment of wages \u00abunder the table\u00bb, a fine of 86,470 UAH is imposed for each employee.<\/p>\n<p>For single-tax payers in groups one to three, a warning is issued for the first such breach. A repeat breach of the same nature within two years will result in a penalty of 259,410 UAH for each undeclared employee.<\/p>\n<h2>Payment deadlines and other liabilities for non-payment<\/h2>\n<p>Salaries must be paid at least twice a month, and the interval between payments must not exceed 16 calendar days. Payment must be made no later than seven days after the end of the period for which it has been calculated.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to a financial penalty, an official or <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/vazhlyvo-znaty\/novi-pravyla-fop-limit-zvitnist-kosmetyka\/\">FOP<\/a> Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in an administrative fine of between 510 and 1,700 UAH. Deliberate and unjustified non-payment of wages for more than one month may result in criminal liability.<\/p>\n<h2>Other employment law breaches and payment of fines<\/h2>\n<p>Breaches of the minimum state guarantees regarding remuneration, in particular the non-payment of allowances for night work, work on public holidays or at weekends, are punishable by a fine of 17,294 UAH per employee. Failure to comply with the guarantees and benefits for mobilised workers carries a penalty of 34,588 UAH per employee; a warning is issued to single-tax payers in groups one to three.<\/p>\n<p>For other breaches of labour legislation, a fine of 8,647 UAH is imposed for each instance, and 17,294 UAH for a repeat offence within a year.
