According to a rough estimate, this is approximately <strong data-start=\"210\" data-end=\"230\">58,000 hryvnias<\/strong>. In Ukraine, the draft state budget for next year sets the minimum wage at <strong data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"332\">9,546 UAH<\/strong>. Thus, in nominal terms, the Polish figure will be approximately six times higher than the Ukrainian one.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\"><strong>Key points at a glance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Poland, the minimum wage will be 4,950 zlotys.<\/li>\n<li>That\u2019s around 58,000 UAH.<\/li>\n<li>In Ukraine, the budget is set at 9,546 UAH.<\/li>\n<li>The difference is about sixfold.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1wyyoya\" data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"831\">How much will people be paid in Poland?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"1152\">The Polish authorities have finalised the minimum wage for 2027. From <strong data-start=\"913\" data-end=\"960\">On 1 January, it will amount to 4,950 zlotys gross<\/strong>, and the minimum hourly rate for the relevant civil law contracts is \u2014 <strong data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1055\">32.30 zlotys<\/strong>. The relevant decree of the Council of Ministers has already been published.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1424\">In 2026, the minimum wage in Poland is 4,806 zlotys. It will therefore rise by <strong data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1297\">144 zlotys, or approximately 3%<\/strong>. According to the Polish government\u2019s estimates, the pay rise will affect approximately 1.58 million workers.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1676\">During the negotiations, the trade unions proposed setting the minimum wage at no less than 5,200 zlotys; however, the employers and the trade unions were unable to agree on a single figure. Ultimately, the final decision was taken by the government.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1jvs6mb\" data-start=\"1678\" data-end=\"1727\">In Ukraine, there are plans to raise the minimum wage to 9,546 UAH<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1729\" data-end=\"1838\">In Ukraine, from 1 January 2027 <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/economics\/minzarplata-kurs-dolara-biudzhet-2027\/\">minimum wage<\/a> are planning to set at the level of <strong data-start=\"1815\" data-end=\"1837\">9,546 UAH per month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"2063\">This figure is set out in the budget estimates for 2027. Compared with 2026, when the minimum wage stands at 8,647 UAH, it is proposed to increase it by <strong data-start=\"1999\" data-end=\"2024\">899 UAH, or 10.4%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2065\" data-end=\"2491\">At the same time, there is a significant difference between the figures for Poland and Ukraine. In Poland, the minimum wage for 2027 has already been set by a government decree. In Ukraine <strong data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2306\">9,546 UAH remains, for the time being, the figure quoted in the draft state budget<\/strong>, which parliament has yet to consider and adopt. Bill No. 16000 was tabled in the Verkhovna Rada on 15 September and is currently under consideration.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"2twhe7\" data-start=\"2493\" data-end=\"2535\">The difference is about six times<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2537\" data-end=\"2669\">If 4,950 zlotys are converted into hryvnias at the current indicative exchange rate, the Polish minimum wage is approximately <strong data-start=\"2652\" data-end=\"2668\">58,000 UAH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2671\" data-end=\"2743\">Compared with the Ukrainian 9,546 UAH, this is approximately <strong data-start=\"2721\" data-end=\"2742\">6.1 times more<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2745\" data-end=\"2920\">However, such a comparison only shows the nominal difference in salaries. It does not take into account the cost of rent, food, transport, taxes and the general price level in the two countries.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2922\" data-end=\"3106\">In addition, <strong data-start=\"2933\" data-end=\"2969\">4,950 zlotys is the gross salary<\/strong>, that is, before tax and social security contributions. The Ukrainian minimum wage is also set as the gross amount before tax.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1k8e6b3\" data-start=\"3108\" data-end=\"3158\">Poland is raising its minimum wage more slowly than Ukraine<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3160\" data-end=\"3210\">In percentage terms, the situation looks different. In Poland, the minimum wage in 2027 will rise by approximately <strong data-start=\"3273\" data-end=\"3279\">3%<\/strong>, whereas in Ukraine the government has budgeted for an increase of approximately <strong data-start=\"3335\" data-end=\"3344\">10,4%<\/strong>.
