The facility covers an area of approximately 14,000 square metres and has a stated annual production capacity of over 10,000 robots. The robots themselves are used on the production line to move materials, load and unload goods, and carry out other operations. According to the company and reports in the Chinese media, the production line is designed to produce one finished robot approximately every 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\"><strong>Key points at a glance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UBTECH has opened a new humanoid robot factory in Liuzhou, China.<\/li>\n<li>The plant is designed to produce more than 10,000 robots a year.<\/li>\n<li>The stated production rate is one finished robot approximately every 10 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Robots at the company carry out some of the logistics and production operations themselves.<\/li>\n<li>The factory plans to produce, amongst others, the Walker S and Cruzr ranges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"t2ytvs\" data-start=\"1358\" data-end=\"1386\">Robots are building robots<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1555\">The most interesting feature of the new enterprise is its concept <strong data-start=\"1444\" data-end=\"1472\">\u00abrobots building robots\u00bb<\/strong>, that is, the use of robotic systems specifically for the production of humanoids.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1557\" data-end=\"1850\">The following people work at the factory: <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/science-tech\/galaxy-robot-park-pivdenna-koreya\/\">humanoid <\/a>as well as wheeled robotic platforms, automated guided vehicles and industrial manipulators. They transport components between production areas, carry out loading and unloading, and assist with assembly.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1852\" data-end=\"2052\">At the same time, it would be incorrect to describe the factory as completely unmanned. People also work on the production line, whilst robots and automated systems carry out specific tasks as part of the overall production process.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"9sqlen\" data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2086\">One humanoid every 10 minutes<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2088\" data-end=\"2347\">The UBTECH plant in Liuzhou has a stated capacity of over <strong data-start=\"2147\" data-end=\"2198\">10,000 industrial humanoid robots per year<\/strong>. The production cycle is organised in such a way that a finished robot can roll off the production line approximately once every 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2349\" data-end=\"2657\">The factory uses a flexible production system that allows it to produce different models without having to completely reconfigure the entire production line. Automated guided vehicles, unmanned forklifts and other robotic systems are used to move parts.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2659\" data-end=\"2908\">During the quality control stage, every finished robot undergoes an inspection. According to the Seoul Economic Daily, the final inspection involves several hours of testing of the entire machine and an automated check of its external appearance.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"gsefog\" data-start=\"2910\" data-end=\"2939\">What sort of robots will be manufactured?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2941\" data-end=\"3251\">The company plans to produce a series of industrial robots <strong data-start=\"3000\" data-end=\"3012\">Walker S<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"3016\" data-end=\"3025\">Cruzr<\/strong>. Walker S is positioned as a humanoid platform for use in industrial settings, whilst Cruzr is a robotic platform capable of performing logistics and other tasks.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3253\" data-end=\"3582\">UBTECH also collaborated with Siemens Digital Industries Software whilst developing the company\u2019s digital infrastructure. Digital factory models were used to simulate production, enabling the logistics and organisation of production processes to be tested even before they were physically launched.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"zw5kkt\" data-start=\"3584\" data-end=\"3625\">China is scaling up the production of humanoids<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3627\" data-end=\"3997\">The launch of the factory comes against the backdrop of rapid developments in Chinese robotics. According to data from China\u2019s National Bureau of Statistics, in July 2026, the country\u2019s production of industrial robots stood at 98,677 units \u2014 30.2% more than a year earlier. Between January and July, the figure reached 635,056 units, an increase of 28.5% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3999\" data-end=\"4244\">That said, the current state of development of humanoid robots does not mean that they are already capable of completely replacing humans in any job. Complex tasks, adapting to unpredictable situations and reliable autonomous operation remain technological challenges.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"4246\" data-end=\"4465\">Chinese humanoid robots are already undergoing industrial trials, but their adaptation to complex real-world conditions still requires further development.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"10fm0b3\" data-start=\"4467\" data-end=\"4510\">From demonstrations to mass production<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"4512\" data-end=\"4742\">The new factory demonstrates that humanoid robots are gradually moving from experimental prototypes to mass production. The very fact that robots are being used on a production line that manufactures other robots marks a significant milestone for the industry.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"4744\" data-end=\"4930\">But the stated production capacity of 10,000 cars a year is precisely <strong data-start=\"4802\" data-end=\"4839\">the company\u2019s production capacity<\/strong>, rather than a guarantee that that number of robots will actually be sold or will operate autonomously.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"4932\" data-end=\"5129\">For the time being, the key question is not only how quickly China will be able to produce humanoids, but also how reliably and cost-effectively these machines will be able to operate in real-world
