Poland is coordinating the supply of such weapons with its NATO allies, in particular the US.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1308\">Commander of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, General <strong>Irenaeusz Novak<\/strong> confirmed to the publication that this specifically refers to a limited quantity of ammunition.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1310\" data-end=\"1466\">According to him, there is no question of a large-scale transfer of missiles, and the number that Warsaw is prepared to supply is classified information.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1698\">The Polish Ministry of Defence has not officially disclosed the contents of the package, but has confirmed that a further consignment of military aid for Ukraine is being prepared and has not denied this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rp.pl\/polityka\/art45142181-polska-chce-przekazac-ukrainie-pociski-do-systemu-patriot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">information<\/a> Rzeczpospolita on Patriot missiles.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1ctkpta\" data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1735\">Poland has limited stocks of PAC-3<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1737\" data-end=\"2003\">Warsaw is itself building up its stockpile of modern interceptors for <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/politics\/zelenskyi-rakety-patriot-ppo-partnery\/\">Patriot<\/a>. According to Rzeczpospolita, Poland has <strong data-start=\"1844\" data-end=\"1877\">16 Patriot launchers<\/strong> and has contracted for around 200 PAC-3 MSE missiles, but part of the order has not yet been delivered.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2005\" data-end=\"2064\">That is precisely why the transfer of a few missiles is expected, rather than dozens.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2370\">The PAC-3 MSE is designed, in particular, to intercept ballistic missiles, which is why such munitions are particularly important for Ukraine\u2019s air and missile defence. Against the backdrop of the war, demand for such systems in Europe has risen sharply, whilst production is struggling to keep pace with the needs of the armed forces.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"p030nw\" data-start=\"2372\" data-end=\"2419\">Poland has already supplied Ukraine with Patriot missiles<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2452\">This won\u2019t be the first programme of its kind.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2454\" data-end=\"2772\">A few months earlier, Poland had handed over to Ukraine <strong data-start=\"2503\" data-end=\"2528\">five PAC-3 MSE missiles<\/strong>. Minister of Defence <strong>Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh<\/strong> He stated at the time that intercepting Russian ballistic missiles over Ukraine before they reached the Polish border was in the security interests of Poland itself.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2774\" data-end=\"2888\">The Polish Ministry of Defence emphasised, however, that the transfer must not compromise the capabilities of its own air defence system.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2890\" data-end=\"3067\">According to Polish officials, Warsaw has also reached an agreement with the US and NATO on additional support in the event of an imminent threat to Poland.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"d7a7kg\" data-start=\"3069\" data-end=\"3105\">The package will also include other weapons<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3107\" data-end=\"3166\">The full list of weapons included in the new package has not been made public.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3168\" data-end=\"3460\">The Polish Ministry of Defence has stated that Ukraine may receive some of the equipment which <strong data-start=\"3246\" data-end=\"3368\">is being decommissioned by the Polish Army, has a limited remaining service life, or is no longer required by the Polish military<\/strong>, but it may still be of use to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3462\" data-end=\"3705\">At the same time, Warsaw is interested in Ukrainian drone and missile systems that have already been tested in real combat conditions.
