The package is to include the Improvised Transporter Erector Launcher 1.5 \u2014 modified transporter-erector launchers \u2014 and kits for upgrading mobile launch systems.<\/p>\n<p>The contract also includes RPS 202 radars, designed for systems to counter unmanned aerial vehicles. Against the backdrop of Russia\u2019s widespread use of attack drones, these systems are intended to enhance the detection of aerial targets and the effectiveness of Ukraine\u2019s air defence.<\/p>\n<h2>The package covers repairs, modernisation and technical support<\/h2>\n<p>The potential procurement is not limited to the transfer of weapons. Ukraine has requested trailers with lifting masts, equipment for major modifications and maintenance, spare parts, consumables and components.<\/p>\n<p>The list includes the repair and return of equipment following maintenance, software, technical documentation and transport services. The agreement also provides for engineering, technical and logistical support from the US Government and American contractors.<\/p>\n<h2>Funding is to be provided through contributions from partners and the FMF programme<\/h2>\n<p>Ukraine plans to finance the procurement through a combination of contributions from European partners and funds from the US Foreign Military Financing programme, allocated under the previous US administration. The US portion of the FMF funding is to be credited as a US contribution to the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund via a 1:1 reimbursement mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>The stated amount is the maximum estimated value of the potential contract, not the value of a contract that has already been awarded.
