The drone was designed to counter reconnaissance and strike drones, in particular high-speed jet-powered drones such as the \u00abGeran-3\u00bb and \u00abGeran-4\u00bb.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\"><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The \u00abZorelit v5\u00bb can reach speeds of up to 416 km\/h.<br \/>\n\u2022 Claimed flight range \u2014 up to 47 km.<br \/>\n\u2022 At a cruising speed of 200 km\/h, the drone can remain airborne for up to 17 minutes.<br \/>\n\u2022 The interceptor is equipped with automatic target detection and guidance systems.<br \/>\n\u2022 Combat trials are scheduled for the end of September.<\/p><\/div>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"beqdc8\" data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"863\">\u00abZorelite v5\u00bb has completed its in-house testing<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"981\">According to \u00abMilitary\u00bb, the company \u00abVluchnik\u00bb has completed a full cycle of in-house tests on the new version of the interceptor.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1203\">The developer states that the device has met the key specified performance criteria and is now ready to be offered to military units under direct contracts. The codification process is ongoing in parallel.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1205\" data-end=\"1305\">The top speed of the \u00abZorelita v5\u00bb is <strong data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1268\">up to 416 km\/h<\/strong>, and the flight range is \u2014 <strong data-start=\"1292\" data-end=\"1304\">up to 47 km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1668\">At cruising speed of approximately <strong data-start=\"1341\" data-end=\"1355\">200 km\/h<\/strong> The drone can remain airborne for up to <strong data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1403\">17 minutes<\/strong>. According to specialist publications, the weight of the warhead is approximately <strong data-start=\"1473\" data-end=\"1487\">400 grams<\/strong>, whilst *Military* notes that the design allows for the fitting of a warhead weighing approximately 300\u2013600 grams, depending on the configuration.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"n21y6d\" data-start=\"1670\" data-end=\"1715\">What was the purpose behind the development of the new interceptor?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1717\" data-end=\"1815\">\u00ab<strong>Zorelit v5<\/strong>\u00bbis designed primarily to engage air targets along their flight path.\".<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1817\" data-end=\"1839\">The stated objectives include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1841\" data-end=\"1984\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1g9pf02\" data-start=\"1841\" data-end=\"1862\">reconnaissance UAVs;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1vkax3x\" data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"1919\">attack drones powered by internal combustion engines;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"an06oh\" data-start=\"1920\" data-end=\"1932\">\u00abGerbera\u00bb;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"o7fni3\" data-start=\"1933\" data-end=\"1946\">\u00abGeran-2\u00bb;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"syt7bj\" data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"1984\">the \u00abGeran-3\u00bb and \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/science-tech\/shahed-seeker-zahoplennya-tsiley\/\">Geranium-4<\/a>\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1986\" data-end=\"2158\">According to the developer, the aircraft\u2019s speed should be sufficient to intercept targets moving at approximately <strong data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2119\">300\u2013350 km\/h<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"20iqbs\" data-start=\"2160\" data-end=\"2199\">Automatic detection and tracking<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2201\" data-end=\"2294\">One of the key features of the new interceptor is its ability to automate part of the flight. The drone can be equipped with an automatic target detection system using computer vision algorithms, as well as a function for automatic guidance during the final stage of the interception.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2522\" data-end=\"2574\">Integration with the system is also provided for <strong data-start=\"2563\" data-end=\"2573\">SkyMap<\/strong>. It is designed to ensure that the drone automatically flies to the target\u2019s location and calculates the optimal flight path, taking into account its remaining power. Furthermore, the manufacturer states that the drone can be controlled remotely and that video can be streamed via the internet.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1yc1xux\" data-start=\"2864\" data-end=\"2915\">\u00abZorelit v5\u00bb was developed on the basis of the previous version<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2917\" data-end=\"2961\">The new drone is a further development of the \u00abZorelita v4\u00bb. According to the company, the previous model has already seen combat use, has been adopted for service and has been assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN). Some of the solutions tested on the v4 have been incorporated into the new version. Before being handed over to the customer, each interceptor undergoes a test flight. The company also states that it retains video recordings of the tests and marks the products to track specific components and assemblies.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"1ku8uo2\" data-start=\"3452\" data-end=\"3489\">When will the combat trials begin?<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3491\" data-end=\"3569\">Field trials of the \u00abZorelita v5\u00bb are scheduled for <strong data-start=\"3540\" data-end=\"3568\">late September 2026<\/strong>. At the same time, the manufacturer is already supplying the interceptor to military units under direct contracts. Depending on the configuration, the cost of a single unit ranges from <strong data-start=\"3723\" data-end=\"3753\">70.3 thousand to 95.9 thousand UAH<\/strong>.
