It is connected to the frame via an optical cable.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1402\"><strong data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1233\">The stated weight of 100 grams refers to the glasses, not the entire set.<\/strong> This is a key point for understanding the new product: the strain on the head is reduced, but you will have to carry the additional device with you.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1667\">This approach may be particularly suitable for watching videos for long periods. However, true comfort is not determined by weight alone: the fit of the frame, the pressure on the bridge of the nose and the convenience of the cable will all be important factors. Among the advertised features is the ability to turn any flat surface into a keyboard and touchpad.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2706\" data-end=\"2955\">For those who work with text, spreadsheets or several windows at once, this is an interesting scenario. But there is a practical difference between a demonstration and day-to-day work: typing a short reply and writing a long piece of text without physical keys are two different tasks.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"2957\" data-end=\"3080\">It is therefore still too early to call smart glasses a fully-fledged replacement for a laptop. It is worth checking how convenient they are for specific tasks.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\" data-section-id=\"16ck8r7\" data-start=\"3082\" data-end=\"3118\">Battery life, price and release date<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3120\" data-end=\"3344\">The following has been announced for Meta VR Glasses <strong data-start=\"3149\" data-end=\"3206\">up to three hours of high-definition video playback<\/strong> and 45 W charging. Sales are scheduled for spring 2027 at a price of <strong data-start=\"3287\" data-end=\"3305\">$1,299.99<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3346\" data-end=\"3477\">The battery life figure relates to a scenario specified by the manufacturer. It should not automatically be applied to gaming or intensive use.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"3479\" data-end=\"3711\">Meta is putting forward a straightforward concept: a large personal screen that\u2019s easy to take with you.
