At the same time, the system is not reliant on a single connection: its architecture provides for diversified routes, so if one cable is severed, traffic can be automatically rerouted via other paths.<\/p>\n<p>The existence of alternative routes mitigates the impact of a single incident, but does not eliminate the need to prepare for network disruptions.
