On the morning of 27 September, during yet another Russian drone attack on Kyiv, the Kyivstar head office building was damaged. The mobile operator\u2019s press office confirmed the attack. The company stated that all staff are safe. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.<\/p>\n

\u00abKyivstar\u00bb has confirmed damage to its head office<\/h2>\n

Ukrainian media were the first to report the attack on the building. The company itself later confirmed the information.<\/p>\n

\u00abToday, the Kyivstar head office building in Kyiv was damaged as a result of an enemy attack,\u201c the operator\u2019s press office reported<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The company added that the staff were unharmed and are safe<\/strong>. The operator\u2019s team assesses the damage caused and coordinates further action.<\/p>\n

As at the time of publication, \u00abKyivstar<\/a>\u00bb\u2026 did not report any widespread disruption to mobile phone or internet services as a result of this particular strike.\".<\/p>\n

The attack took place during a morning drone raid<\/h2>\n

Russian drones attacked Kyiv on the night of 27 September and continued their strikes in the morning.<\/p>\n

In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital, a drone struck a non-residential building. At least three people were injured. During the night in the Solomyanskyi district<\/a> There were also hits \u2014 in particular, on a warehouse building, where a fire broke out.<\/p>\n

Suspilne has confirmed that the damage to Kyivstar\u2019s head office occurred precisely during the Russian Federation\u2019s drone attack on 27 September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Some media outlets refer to the drone as a \u00abShahed\u00bb, but the company itself did not specify the exact type of drone in its statement.<\/p>\n

This is not the first attack on Kyivstar\u2019s infrastructure\u00ab<\/h2>\n

In September, Russian attacks have already targeted facilities linked to Ukraine\u2019s largest mobile operator on several occasions.<\/p>\n

11 September<\/strong> \u00abKyivstar\u00bb reported that its engineering team\u2019s office in Kyiv had been damaged following a drone attack. No staff were injured, and the network continued to operate as normal.<\/p>\n

17 September<\/strong> In the Kyiv region, a building housing the operator\u2019s equipment was damaged. In that instance, too, no staff were injured, and services to subscribers continued without interruption.<\/p>\n

The damage to the head office on 27 September was therefore at least the third confirmed incident in a month in which Russian strikes had hit Kyivstar facilities.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
