Poland issued an air raid alert in the Lublin Voivodeship, but subsequently cancelled it. Warsaw stated that there had been no violation of Polish airspace; according to preliminary reports, the border crossing itself was not directly hit.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A drone strike was recorded near the Ukrainian-Polish border.<\/li>\n<li>No direct strike on the checkpoint has been reported so far.<\/li>\n<li>The air raid alert that had been issued in the Lublin Voivodeship has been lifted.<\/li>\n<li>Poland has stated that its airspace has not been violated.<\/li>\n<li>The underpass has been evacuated; it is important for lorries and buses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>The purpose of the drone is as yet unknown<\/h2>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Polish Armed Forces\u2019 Operational Command confirmed the strike <strong>Jacek Goryshevsky<\/strong> on TVN24. He said that at the time, it was not known what the drone\u2019s target was.<\/p>\n<p>A source at the State Border Guard Service, speaking to BBC News Ukraine, also reported a strike by a jet-powered drone near the border. According to his preliminary information, there was no direct hit on \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/world\/petreus-potiah-udar-rf-yahodyn\/\">Yagodin<\/a>\u00bb\u2026 was not recorded.\".<\/p>\n<p>Reports had appeared in the media stating that the strike took place approximately 800 metres from the checkpoint, but the exact location of the strike had not been officially confirmed.<\/p>\n<h2>Poland has lifted the alert and evacuated the crossing<\/h2>\n<p>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/world\/johnson-aktivy-rf-udar-yahodyn\/\">Russian attack<\/a> Residents of the Lublin Voivodeship were urged to move to a safe place and follow the instructions of the emergency services. The alert was subsequently lifted. On 28 September, the Polish national traffic information service reported the following delays at the road crossing: for lorries weighing over 7.5 tonnes at Dorohusk, waiting times were estimated at nine hours, whilst for lighter vehicles the wait was one hour.<\/p>\n<p>According to Fakt, the \u00abDorohusk\u2013Yahodin\u00bb border crossing has been evacuated. The Minister of National Defence <strong>Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh<\/strong> stated that there had been no violation of Polish airspace.<\/p>\n<p>The road crossing has not been processing passenger cars since June 2022: it is used by lorries and, temporarily, regular bus services.
