23 October 2025 - President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> welcomed Finland's decision to allocate EUR 100 million to the mechanism PURL<\/strong> (Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List) of NATO. This contribution will enhance the supply of critical US weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the face of escalating Russian aggression.<\/p>\n PURL mechanism launched with the participation of the US President Donald Trump<\/strong>, The agreement between the US, NATO and Ukraine allows the allies to finance the purchase of US weapons for Kyiv. Each shipment costs around $500 million and includes priority needs such as long-range missiles and air defence systems. Earlier, Belgium allocated 100 million euros, Lithuania - 30 million, and Luxembourg joined without disclosing the amount.<\/p>\n Finland, which joined NATO in 2023, has been actively supporting Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. In addition to the PURL, Helsinki has provided more than \u20ac1 billion in humanitarian and development assistance, including the cost of hosting Ukrainian refugees.<\/p>\n Contributions to the PURL will speed up the delivery of weapons that Ukraine considers critical, including Tomahawk missiles, which were discussed with Trump.
