This was announced by the Ministry of Defence on 30 September. The programme involves upgrading infrastructure, improving living conditions for military personnel and enhancing existing training facilities; Ukraine\u2019s partner countries will be able to contribute to its funding.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The EU will support the modernisation of several Armed Forces of Ukraine training facilities in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<li>The project covers accommodation for military personnel, infrastructure and training facilities.<\/li>\n<li>The \u00abCome Back Alive\u00bb Foundation has been appointed as the implementing body, in coordination with the Ministry of Defence.<\/li>\n<li>Denmark will manage the funds, whilst the partners will be able to make contributions.<\/li>\n<li>Denmark\u2019s \u20ac33 million has been earmarked for a single centre that was agreed upon previously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Plans are in place to upgrade the accommodation and educational facilities at the centres<\/h2>\n<p>The main focus will be on the infrastructure of training centres within Ukraine itself. The plan provides for more comfortable living conditions for service personnel, the development of infrastructure and the modernisation of facilities already in use for training.<\/p>\n<p>The names of the centres are not being disclosed for security reasons. The Deputy Minister of Defence <strong>Lyubov Galan<\/strong> She stated that the updated capabilities should make it possible to structure training in line with real combat experience. She described high-quality training of personnel as one of the key elements of defence capability, alongside equipment and ammunition.<\/p>\n<h2>EU bodies, the Ministry of Defence and the \u00abCome Back Alive\u00bb Foundation will be involved in the implementation\u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>The programme will be implemented under the auspices of the European External Action Service, the Directorate for Military Planning and Conduct, and <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/economics\/six-countries-block-eu-budget\/\">EU Missions<\/a> on the provision of military assistance to Ukraine \u2014 EUMAM Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The charitable foundation \u00abCome Back Alive\u00bb will be responsible for the practical implementation of the project and will work in close coordination with the Ministry of Defence. EUMAM Ukraine trains Ukrainian military personnel, and its programmes are adapted to the experience of the Russia-Ukraine war and developments on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Council of the EU, the mission has trained 97,000 Ukrainian military personnel. Twenty-four EU Member States took part in the training modules and in the provision of personnel.<\/p>\n<h2>Denmark will manage the funds for the new programme<\/h2>\n<p>The EU initiated this multilateral project, and Denmark was designated as the fund manager. Ukraine\u2019s partner states may contribute to its funding.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Ukraine and Denmark signed a letter of intent regarding the separate, comprehensive modernisation of a single training centre.
