The Czech volunteer initiative \u201cA Gift for Putin\u201d has launched a fundraising campaign to purchase a Flamingo cruise missile for the Ukrainian Armed Forces - and has raised more than 600 000 USD<\/strong> only for two days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n According to the organisers, they expected to raise this amount in a week, but the record-breaking support of the public allowed them to achieve the result in 48 hours - \u00abwhich is a record,\u00bb said a campaign representative.<\/p>\n The initiative announced a fundraiser on its website and social media. The publication states that the missile is manufactured by a Ukrainian manufacturer and can be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the fundraising is completed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The name of the rocket within the campaign is \u00abDANA 1\u00bb<\/strong>, The name is in honour of Czech physicist and public figure Dana Dr\u00e1bov\u00e1, who supported Ukraine.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The organisers emphasise that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will decide on the time, place and method of use of the missile.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The Flamingo missile is one of Ukraine's new precision-guided missile systems, which has already been reported to have been used against targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
