According to the company and Reuters, this is Pandora\u2019s first production facility outside Thailand and its fourth overall.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pandora has opened a factory in Ho Chi Minh City costing $150 million.<\/li>\n<li>This is the company\u2019s first production facility outside Thailand.<\/li>\n<li>The plant will have a production capacity of up to 60 million pieces of jewellery per year.<\/li>\n<li>Once fully operational, the plant could provide up to 7,000 jobs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Capacity of the new plant<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pandora<\/strong> stated that the factory would be able to produce up to 60 million items of jewellery each year. It is expected that, once it is up and running, the company\u2019s total production capacity will increase by approximately 50%.<\/p>\n<p>Once it reaches full operational capacity, the company is expected to provide up to 7,000 jobs. The company describes the new facility as the world\u2019s largest jewellery manufacturing site \u2014 this is a corporate claim rather than an independent industry ranking.<\/p>\n<h2>Diversification of production and materials<\/h2>\n<p>Prior to the opening of the production site in Vietnam, Pandora manufactured jewellery at three factories in <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/world\/monakh-u-tailandi-28-mln-seks-u-khrami\/\">Thailand<\/a>. In 2025, the company sold 112 million items.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Executive of Pandora <strong>Bertha de Pablos-Barbier<\/strong> She stated that, initially, the Vietnamese plant would account for around 15% of the company\u2019s global production capacity, and, once it reaches full capacity in 2030, approximately one-third. The plant\u2019s output is intended for Pandora\u2019s global business, rather than for specific export markets.<\/p>\n<p>Pandora also stated that the platform would support the expansion of its range of platinum-plated jewellery. The company had previously cited this move as a way of reducing its dependence on fluctuations in the price of silver.<\/p>\n<h2>Declared environmental performance<\/h2>\n<p>According to Pandora, the factory is LEED Gold-certified, will be powered by renewable electricity and will use recycled silver and gold.<\/p>\n<p>The opening ceremony on 1 October also marked the production of the first Pandora piece in Vietnam.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pandora opened a factory in Vietnam on 1 October.
