According to the ministry, a fire broke out as a result, but there were no casualties or material damage.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\">\n<p><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The object fell near Plauru at around 05:00 on the night of 2 October.<\/li>\n<li>The Romanian Ministry of Defence tentatively suggests that it may have been a drone.<\/li>\n<li>A fire broke out following the crash; there were no casualties or material damage.<\/li>\n<li>Radar systems did not detect any unauthorised entry into Romanian airspace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Military experts will investigate the crash site<\/h2>\n<p>The Romanian Ministry of Defence reported that a fire engine from the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and teams from the Ministry of National Defence had been dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire. The area has been secured.<\/p>\n<p>Specialist units are to survey the area. Consequently, the nature and origin of the object have not yet been established.<\/p>\n<h2>What was said about the night-time attacks and airspace<\/h2>\n<p>According to the Romanian Ministry of Defence, its radars detected during the night <strong>drone attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine<\/strong> near the Romanian river border, in the north of Tulcea County.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the ministry stated that its radar systems had not detected any unauthorised incursions into Romanian airspace during the night.
