The illustration depicts Geralt of Rivia wearing a vyshyvanka and a red sash whilst fighting monsters. The Ukrainian translation was released in the game on 29 September 2026, alongside the launch of <strong>The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt \u2014 Remastered<\/strong>. At the same time, instead of his usual garment, he is depicted wearing a Ukrainian vyshyvanka, complemented by a traditional red sash.<\/p>\n<p>The scene is designed in the style of the universe <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/science-tech\/witcher-3-remastered-release-map\/\">The Witcher<\/a>: Geralt battles monsters, and Ukrainian elements are woven directly into his character.<\/p>\n<p>CD Projekt RED explained separately that the illustration is <strong>a creative interpretation<\/strong>, created for the Ukrainian release. The studio has clarified whether the character will appear in the game.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>\u00abThe Witcher 3\u00bb has officially been localised into Ukrainian<\/h2>\n<p>The Ukrainian localisation became available with the release of the updated <strong>The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt \u2014 Remastered<\/strong> 29 September. CD Projekt RED released the re-release as a free update for owners of the game on supported platforms. The localisation covers the game\u2019s text, including the interface and subtitles. No Ukrainian dubbing has been added. A Ukrainian team worked on the translation, whilst the project was coordinated at CD Projekt RED by <strong>Olga Sushytska<\/strong>. She explained that work on the Ukrainian version had taken place under difficult conditions, particularly during Russian shelling, and described it as a significant milestone for Ukrainian game localisation.<\/p>\n<h2>The localisation was released 11 years after the game\u2019s launch<\/h2>\n<p>The original *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* was released in May <strong>In 2015<\/strong>. Thus, the official Ukrainian version was released more than 11 years after the game\u2019s initial launch. Prior to this, Ukrainian players had been able to use unofficial translations created by the community. Back in 2022, CD Projekt RED informed the Ukrainian GameDev DOU that the company was working on certain projects in Ukrainian, but did not disclose any details at the time. Alongside the localisation, the remaster features updated graphics, lighting, animations, a revamped combat system, a reworked skill tree, an expanded photo mode and cross-platform mod support. Themed artwork featuring Geralt in a vyshyvanka served as a special greeting to the Ukrainian audience to mark the release of the official translation.
