Emergency services are at the scene. At the time of the first official report, there were no reports of casualties.<\/p>\n<p>Footage released shows a large-scale fire with a tall column of smoke and intense flames. The emergency services have not yet disclosed the full extent of the damage or the area affected by the fire.<\/p>\n<p>In operational reports, the entity is linked to the pharmaceutical distributor \u00ab<strong>Venta Ltd<\/strong>\u00bb. However, KOVA\u2019s initial statement did not specify the name of the company, so this fact requires separate official confirmation from the company or the authorities.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00abVenta\u00bb is one of Ukraine\u2019s largest pharmaceutical distributors<\/h2>\n<p>According to Forbes Ukraine, \u00abVenta Ltd\u00bb is one of the largest players in the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market. According to Proxima Research, the company accounted for approximately <strong>15% of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market<\/strong> and had five storage sites \u2014 in Dnipro, Odesa, Ternopil, Kyiv and Kharkiv.<\/p>\n<p>The financial statements also provide an indication of the scale of the business: in the first two quarters of 2026, the company\u2019s revenue amounted to over <strong>8.3 billion UAH<\/strong>, and the number of employees exceeded 500.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, serious damage to one of the large <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/viyna\/udar-po-zavodu-darnytsia-kyiv\/\">logistics facilities<\/a> This could potentially affect certain supply chains for medicines. However, it is too early to conclude that there will be a shortage of medicines: the company has several warehouses, and the extent of the losses has not yet been determined.<\/p>\n<h2>Bayer, Pfizer, Teva, \u00abDarnitsa\u00bb and \u00abFarmak\u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>On its official website, \u00abVenta Ltd\u00bb states that it works with more than <strong>400 suppliers<\/strong>, including more than 200 foreign and more than 250 Ukrainian manufacturers of pharmaceutical products.<\/p>\n<p>The company lists the following among its international partners: <strong>Bayer, Sanofi, Pfizer, Teva, Gedeon Richter, Servier, GlaxoSmithKline, Abbott, Stada, Novo Nordisk and Reckitt Benckiser<\/strong>. Among the Ukrainian ones \u2014 <strong>\u00abDarnitsa\u00bb, \u00abFarmak\u00bb, \u00abYuria-Pharm\u00bb, the Kyiv Vitamin Plant, Biopharma Plasma, \u00abAstrafarm\u00bb and \u00abLekhim\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>The impact on the supply of medicines is still being assessed<\/h2>\n<p>The main question following the fire is how much pharmaceutical produce has been lost and whether this will affect supplies to pharmacy chains and hospitals. At this stage, there is no confirmed information regarding the value of the destroyed medicines, the quantity of goods or the list of specific medicinal products. Furthermore, the company has not yet publicly announced which part of its logistics operations can be transferred to other warehouse sites.<\/p>\n<p>Given the scale of \u00abVenta\u00bb, the consequences of the attack could prove significant for its own logistics; however, without further data, there is no basis for suggesting a nationwide shortage of medicines.<\/p>\n<h2>Russia continues to target warehouse infrastructure<\/h2>\n<p>The attack was yet another incident involving damage to warehouse facilities in the Kyiv region. On the same day, the authorities reported damage to a warehouse building in the Fastiv district, and in the evening \u2014 a major fire in the Bucha district.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services are continuing to deal with the aftermath. It is expected that, once the fire has been fully extinguished, the company and the local authorities will be able to provide more accurate figures regarding the extent of the damage, the value of the
