This does not mean a loss of pension entitlement, but rather a potential loss of payments for the period prior to the submission of the documents.<\/p>\n<h2>How long does one need to have been insured in 2026?<\/h2>\n<p>The retirement age depends on the length of the insurance record. In 2026, a pension may be granted at the age of 60 provided the person has at least 33 years\u2019 insurance record; at the age of 63, a minimum of 23 years\u2019 insurance record is required, and at the age of 65, a minimum of 15 years\u2019 insurance record is required.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum requirement is determined in accordance with the regulations in force on the date on which the relevant age is reached. Therefore, for a person who turns 60 in 2025, the requirement of 32 years\u2019 service applies, even if they submit their application the following year.<\/p>\n<h2>How to submit documents and check your employment history<\/h2>\n<p>Applications may be submitted no earlier than one month before reaching retirement age. This can be done at any Pension Fund of Ukraine service centre, regardless of place of residence, or via the Fund\u2019s e-services portal. To apply online, you will need to log in and provide a qualified electronic signature.<\/p>\n<p>Before submitting your application, you should check the details of your insurance record in your personal account and, if necessary, attach documents confirming your periods of employment. If the Register of Insured Persons contains complete digitised records, including details of your insurance record prior to 2004, your pension may be awarded automatically without the need for a separate application.
