Scientists from Taiwan have discovered a way to restore hair growth<\/h2>\n

Researchers from Taiwan have reported a new mechanism for activating hair growth<\/strong>, which could be a breakthrough in regenerative medicine.
The paper was published in a scientific journal Cell Metabolism<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How it works<\/h2>\n

During the study, the researchers found that lipolysis in the fat cells of the skin<\/strong> - the process of breaking down fat activates epithelial stem cells<\/strong>.
This, in turn, triggers the growth of new hair follicles<\/strong> even in areas where hair has already fallen out.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were surprised by the speed of the reaction: the mice started to show noticeable hair growth after 20 days,\u201d the researchers said in their report.<\/p>\n

Only experiments so far<\/h2>\n

The method is currently tested only on laboratory mice<\/strong>.
However, the results give hope for the creation of a new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of alopecia<\/strong> in humans - without transplantation or hormonal drugs.<\/p>\n
