The day before, on 5 October, the \u00abEuropean Solidarity\u00bb parliamentary group announced his expulsion, citing fundamental differences of opinion on the issues of ending the war and Ukraine\u2019s future security architecture.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\"><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oleksiy Goncharenko has been listed on the \u00abMyrotvorets\u00bb website.<\/li>\n<li>On 5 October, Goncharenko was expelled from the \u00abEuropean Solidarity\u00bb parliamentary group.<\/li>\n<li>The party has stated that there are differences of opinion regarding the end of the war and Ukraine\u2019s future security framework.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>What was written in the profile on \u00abMyrotvorets\u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>On the card <strong>Alexey Goncharenko<\/strong> On the \u00abMyrotvorets\u00bb website, the site\u2019s authors describe him as a \u00abprofessional provocateur\u00bb and a \u00abpolitical populist\u00bb, and accuse him of actions which, in their view, are aimed at demoralising society and disrupting mobilisation efforts.<\/p>\n<p>As justification, the source cites the MP\u2019s public statements on the need to negotiate with Russia and his proposals regarding possible compromises to end the war.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, these formulations are <strong>according to the authors of \u00abMyrotvorets\u00bb<\/strong>, rather than a finding by a court or a law enforcement agency. The mere inclusion of a person in the database does not constitute a legal finding of any offence.<\/p>\n<h2>On the eve of the vote, Goncharenko was expelled from the \u00abEU\u00bb parliamentary group\u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>On 5 October, \u00abEuropean Solidarity\u00bb announced that Goncharenko had been expelled from the parliamentary group. The political party explained the decision by citing the MP\u2019s public stance on ending the war and the future security architecture <strong>differed from the faction\u2019s position and its ideological principles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00abEU\u00bb emphasised that whilst it allows for political debate on tactics, it considers any compromises regarding Ukraine\u2019s independence, its European course and the state\u2019s right to determine its own security system to be unacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>Goncharenko was elected to the Verkhovna Rada as a first-past-the-post candidate, so his expulsion from the parliamentary group <strong>does not mean the automatic loss of a parliamentary seat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>What Goncharenko proposed<\/h2>\n<p>In early October, the MP published a series of statements and an opinion piece on a possible way to end the war. He advocated for <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/main-news\/zelenskyi-zima-eskalatsiia-perehovory\/\">negotiations with Russia<\/a> and argued that, in order to reach agreements, both sides would have to make compromises.
