President of the United States Donald Trump<\/strong> is embarking on a five-day tour of Asia, which will cover Malaysia, Japan and South Korea<\/strong>.
One of the main objectives of the visit will be to meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping<\/strong>, Reuters reports.<\/p>\n

According to the agency, although no major breakthrough is expected, the parties may agree on partial reduction of tariffs<\/strong>, China's commitment to purchasing US goods<\/strong> or easing of US export restrictions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The US and China have been in a state of trade and economic confrontation<\/strong>, covering issues of tariffs, technology control and supply of rare earth metals.
