Initially, power cuts were reported on the left bank; later, problems also arose on the right bank of the city.

Mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko confirmed that Russian troops had struck several energy facilities in the capital. According to him, the energy infrastructure in the Kyiv region had also come under a massive ballistic attack.

In the Desnianskyi district, a rocket struck a nine-storey residential block

One of the most serious consequences of the Russian attack was a missile striking a block of flats in the Desnianskyi district. The fire spread to flats on the first to eighth floors. The total area affected by the fire was approximately 400 square metres.

Fire and rescue services, paramedics and the police were at the scene.
