The US intelligence agencies conveyed this warning to the Ukrainian embassy in Washington. As of 14 October, the exchange of data had not been suspended; however, according to the newspaper, the threat remains in place.

Briefly about the main points

A warning about a possible interruption to data exchange was received on 12 October.

The US condition is that there should be no further strikes on Russian energy facilities.

Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukrainian generals had been alerted to the risk.

Trump gave assurances that the United States would continue to share intelligence with Ukraine.

There is no evidence to suggest a link between the Starshield restrictions and the US warning.

The warnings were passed on to a wide range of Ukrainian contacts

US intelligence agencies The warning was conveyed to the Ukrainian embassy in Washington on 12 October. According to a source speaking to *The Washington Post*, the warnings were relayed through several channels and were addressed to a wide range of Ukrainian officials and contacts.

A source speaking to the newspaper described the extent of the communication as follows: «The warnings were so widespread that they rang up everyone whose surnames sounded Ukrainian». Earlier that day, the WP reported that US officials, including the commander of US and NATO forces in Europe, General Alexus Grinkevich, called on Kyiv to refrain from attacking Russian oil refineries.

The Ukrainian side interpreted these signals as a potential threat of restrictions on military and intelligence assistance.

Zelenskyy confirmed the message to the military; Trump announced the continuation of aid

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy In an interview with NPR, he said that he personally had not received such a warning. At the same time, he said, information about the risk of the exchange being halted had been passed on to Ukrainian generals at the military level, after which the command reported this to the president.

President of the United States Donald Trump On 13 October, he told journalists that the United States continues to support Ukraine and provide it with intelligence.

The reports emerged following Russian ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv. Zelenskyy stated that, over the course of two nights, Ukraine had received no advance warnings from its partners about the approaching missiles. A spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat He later reported that, during the next three waves of attacks, the partners once again provided data on the application of ballistics. The reasons for the delays and their possible link to political pressure from Washington have not been established.

The dispute over the oil refinery is taking place against a backdrop of fresh blows to the Ukrainian energy sector

The Trump administration called for an end to attacks on Russian oil refineries, whilst the US President linked them to the rise in global diesel prices. At the same time, experts quoted by Reuters believed that the war in the Middle East was having a greater impact on the fuel market. The US also eased certain restrictions on exports of Russian diesel.

On 11 October, Trump announced that an «energy truce» had allegedly been reached between Ukraine and Russia. Zelenskyy replied that he was prepared to halt strikes on Russian energy infrastructure if Moscow took similar action. Russian forces subsequently continued their attacks: on the night of 13–14 October, dozens of Ukrainian energy facilities were damaged, leaving at least 600,000 people without electricity.

On the same day, the Ukrainian military noted restrictions on Starshield satellite communications, which affected the operation of some unmanned aerial vehicles, in particular interceptor drones. There is no evidence of a direct link between these restrictions and the threat to intelligence data. No official decision has been announced regarding a complete halt to US intelligence support.

The US has warned Ukraine that further strikes on Russian energy infrastructure could lead to an immediate suspension of intelligence-sharing.

США попередили Україну: нові удари по енергетичних об’єктах РФ можуть спричинити негайне припинення обміну розвідданими.
[805617
806756
post-33303","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-politics","tag-806756
["GET
