On the night of 18 October 2026, reports emerged from St Petersburg, Russia, that a large logistics complex belonging to the Ozon marketplace had been hit. A massive fire broke out on the premises of the warehouse complex, footage of which was published by the Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+. According to OSINT researchers, the complex covers an area of approximately 51,500 square metres. Videos showing high flames and thick plumes of smoke are circulating on social media.<\/p>\n

On the morning of 18 October, a Telegram channel Exilenova+<\/a> reported a fire on the premises of the Russian marketplace\u2019s logistics centre Ozon<\/strong> in St Petersburg.<\/p>\n

The footage released shows intense flames and thick smoke rising above the buildings. The monitoring channel links the fire to a night-time drone attack. Information regarding its geolocation has also been published.<\/p>\n

According to the channel, this is a large warehouse complex with an area of approximately 51.5 thousand square metres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What is known about the Ozon logistics complex?<\/h2>\n

Ozon<\/a> is one of Russia\u2019s largest marketplaces, utilising a network of logistics centres to process and deliver orders. These facilities handle the receipt of goods from suppliers, their storage, sorting, order fulfilment and subsequent dispatch to collection points and customers. The facility struck in St Petersburg forms part of this logistics infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The aftermath of the fire at the Ozon warehouse<\/h2>\n

Videos circulating online show a large-scale fire, but it is impossible to assess the extent of the damage to the entire complex from these images.<\/p>\n

As of the morning of 18 October, there is no confirmed information regarding the number of damaged warehouses, goods destroyed or possible casualties.<\/p>\n
