Five people were injured as a result of the attack; four fires broke out; and residential buildings, farm buildings and an administrative building were damaged. According to the Izium City Military Administration, the shelling lasted from 00:22 to 04:00, and the drones used by the Russians included rocket-propelled ones. One of the damaged buildings was the city council\u2019s education department. According to preliminary information from the local authorities, the weapons used included jet-powered drones.<\/p>\n<p>The strikes targeted residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. In one of the pictures, rescue workers can be seen working amongst the ruined walls and the remains of the roof.<\/p>\n<p>The final list of damaged property and the extent of the material losses are still being finalised.<\/p>\n<h2>The Russians damaged the education authority building<\/h2>\n<p>One of the buildings affected was the Izium City Council\u2019s Education Department. According to the city\u2019s military administration, the building was damaged as a result of the strike, after which a fire broke out. However, there were no separate reports of any staff at the educational institution being injured.<\/p>\n<h2>Five people were injured in a night-time attack<\/h2>\n<p>According to preliminary information from the State Emergency Service, five people were injured as a result of the Russian shelling of Izium. The city\u2019s military administration clarified that the injured had been found to be suffering from an acute stress reaction.<\/p>\n<p>As of this morning, no information had been received regarding fatalities resulting from this particular night-time attack. Medical staff are providing the necessary assistance to those injured. Details regarding their condition and any further medical requirements are being clarified.<\/p>\n<h2>Rescuers were working under the threat of further strikes<\/h2>\n<p>Fire and rescue units from the State Emergency Service, including community rescue officers, were deployed to deal with the aftermath of the shelling. Specialists carried out operations in several areas of the city where fires had broken out and damage had been recorded. Due to the threat of further attacks by Russian drones, the work of the emergency services remained dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, inspections of the damaged structures are continuing.
