Apple plans to unveil a MacBook Pro with a touchscreen OLED display on 28 October, according to Bloomberg. If the agency’s report is confirmed, this will mark a significant change for the company’s professional laptop range: current MacBook Pro models are fitted with Liquid Retina XDR displays. Apple has not officially disclosed the specifications, prices or release date for the new model.

Briefly about the main points

The agency reports that Apple is preparing a new laptop for its range MacBook Pro. It is expected to be released approximately seven months after the launch of the M5 Pro and M5 Max models, which the company unveiled in March.

Until the official announcement, information regarding the device’s specifications should be regarded as a report by Bloomberg rather than as specifications confirmed by Apple.

Touch input and an OLED display could set the upcoming model apart from the current MacBook Pro models, which use Liquid Retina XDR technology. Bloomberg has also previously reported on possible changes to the macOS interface for such devices, notably the Dynamic Island at the top of the screen.

Apple has not yet announced the configurations, prices, launch dates or markets where the new MacBook Pro will be available.

Apple is preparing a MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen, according to Bloomberg.
