On the evening of 20 October 2026, Russian forces attacked the \u00abEpicentre\u00bb shopping centre in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv Oblast, using a strike drone. According to Serhiy Sakovskyi, head of the Pervomaisk District Military Administration, the strike took place at 18:31. Reports on the aftermath of the attack mention two women who were injured, although official details regarding their condition are currently being clarified.<\/p>\n

A Russian drone attacked a shopping centre in Pervomaisk<\/h2>\n

On the evening of Tuesday, 20 October, it emerged that a Russian strike had hit a commercial building in Pervomaisk.<\/p>\n

The head of the Pervomaiskyi District Military Administration confirmed the information about the attack Serhiy Sakovskyi<\/strong>. According to him, the Russian military deployed a strike drone, which attacked \u00abEpicentre\u00bb at 18:31.<\/p>\n

Local news outlets have released night-time footage showing a bright blaze near the buildings and specialist vehicles at work.<\/p>\n

At the time of the first official reports, representatives of the district administration stated that the consequences of the Russian attack were still being assessed.<\/p>\n

What is known about the two women who were injured?<\/h2>\n

Reports circulated following the strike state that two women were injured as a result of the attack.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the first officially attributed reports of the attack do not contain any confirmed information regarding the victims\u2019 ages, the nature of their injuries or the need for hospitalisation.<\/p>\n

It is also currently unclear whether the victims were actually inside the shopping centre or in the vicinity.<\/p>\n

There is no information regarding fatalities resulting specifically from the strike on \u00abEpicentre\u00bb in Pervomaisk.<\/p>\n

Russia continues to attack \u00abEpicentre\u00bb shopping centres\u00bb<\/h2>\n

The strike on Pervomaisk was yet another attack on facilities belonging to the Ukrainian retail chain \u00abEpicentre<\/a>\u00bb.<\/p>\n

In particular, on 13 October, Russian troops attacked the company\u2019s logistics distribution centre in Khmelnytskyi on ten occasions. According to the company, the strikes caused five fires, which destroyed approximately 85% of goods stored in the warehouse.<\/p>\n

The company noted that this logistics complex remained one of the largest following the destruction of other distribution centres in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Despite the extensive damage, no staff were injured during that attack.<\/p>\n

On 20 October, Russian drones also damaged the \u00abEpicentre\u00bb warehouses in Kovel, Volyn. In addition, there were reports of a strike on a branch of the chain in Dubno, Rivne Oblast, where a fire broke out.<\/p>\n
