He also claimed that Russia has allegedly not taken any significant action against Ukraine recently.<\/p>\n<p>These remarks were made against the backdrop of fresh strikes on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. Reuters reported that on 18 October, Zelenskyy spoke of 76 Russian attacks over the previous week on energy, oil and gas infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h2>Kyiv is demanding security guarantees for a diplomatic resolution to the war<\/h2>\n<p>Zelenskyy has repeatedly stated his readiness for a diplomatic end to the war, but has emphasised that any agreements must prevent a further Russian invasion. He has also criticised the easing of certain sanctions against Russia and delays in US military aid.<\/p>\n<p>During the talks in Oslo on 20 October, Zelenskyy and Trump\u2019s special envoy <strong>Steve Witkoff<\/strong> They discussed new peace proposals, security guarantees and the possibility of a ceasefire.
