According to Ukrainian intelligence, the missile can reach speeds of up to 800 km\/h, carry a warhead weighing 50 or 100 kilograms, and is equipped with a turbojet engine. The company is also involved in the manufacture of components for other Russian missile systems.<\/p>\n<p>According to published data, the \u00abFilin\u00bb is 3.5 metres long and has a wingspan of 3 metres. Its maximum take-off weight is 210 kilograms.<\/p>\n<p>The rocket is designed to be launched from a ground-based launch pad using a solid-propellant booster. However, the missile\u2019s actual capabilities depend on the specific variant, its warhead and flight conditions.<\/p>\n<h2>Foreign components have been found in a new Russian missile<\/h2>\n<p>One of the key findings of the published study was <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/world\/kytai-seks-ihrashky-mikroskhemy-rosiia-sanktsii\/\">electronic components<\/a> \u00abFilina\u00bb. According to War&amp;Sanctions, Ukrainian intelligence has added 81 components linked to the missile\u2019s design to its database. Among the identified parts are products from the American companies Texas Instruments, Microchip Technology and ON Semiconductor.<\/p>\n<p>Electronic components from the Chinese manufacturers MORNSUN and WinChipHead, the Swiss firm STMicroelectronics and other companies were also identified. The Main Intelligence Directorate established that electronic microchips, transistors, navigation modules and control components had been used.<\/p>\n<p>The presence of components of foreign origin does not automatically mean that their manufacturers supplied products directly to the Russian military-industrial complex. At the same time, such information helps to investigate the supply chains for electronics and possible ways of circumventing international sanctions.<\/p>\n<h2>How the \u00abFilina\u00bb guidance system works\u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>The published materials state that the missile is equipped with a K-103-01 inertial navigation system unit. The design also incorporates the \u00abKometa\u00bb anti-jamming navigation module, manufactured by the Russian company \u00abVNIIR-PROGRESS\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of inertial navigation with satellite correction enables missile systems to determine their own position and adjust their flight path. The anti-jamming modules are designed to enhance the resistance of navigation equipment to radio-electronic interference.<\/p>\n<h2>Did Russia use the \u00abFilin\u00bb missile against Ukraine?<\/h2>\n<p>The emergence of information about a new missile indicates that the development of Russian long-range weapons is continuing.<\/p>\n<p>Russia is already using various types of cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as attack drones, to strike Ukraine. These new developments are expanding the range of weapons that could potentially be deployed by Russian forces.<\/p>\n<p>However, as of 22 October, the Main Intelligence Directorate had not named any specific Ukrainian cities or targets that had been struck specifically by \u00abFilin\u00bb missiles. Furthermore, there is as yet no publicly available, verified data on the number of missiles manufactured, the rate of mass production or the number of
