In Vyshhorod, in the Kyiv region, it was reported on 23 October that a Russian jet-powered drone had struck an electrical substation. Following this latest attack, residents of Kyiv and the surrounding region have experienced power cuts. According to preliminary information, an energy infrastructure facility was hit; however, the extent of the damage and the number of households without power have not yet been determined. Rolling blackouts are already in place in the capital and the Kyiv region due to the consequences of previous Russian attacks, so the scale of any additional power cuts linked to this new incident remains to be clarified.<\/p>\n

Reports have emerged from Vyshhorod of a rocket-powered drone strike<\/h2>\n

Reports of an attack on Vyshhorod\u2019s energy infrastructure emerged against the backdrop of yet another air threat to the Kyiv region.<\/p>\n

For preliminary information, A Russian jet-powered drone targeted an electrical substation<\/strong>. Similar reports of strikes in the Vyshhorod area have previously been circulated by monitoring channels, but their information does not replace official confirmation.<\/p>\n

It is not yet known exactly which pieces of equipment may have been damaged or whether a fire broke out.<\/p>\n

There have been problems with the electricity supply in Kyiv and the surrounding region<\/h2>\n

Amid reports of an attack, residents of the capital and the Kyiv region experienced power cuts.<\/p>\n

On 23 October, rolling blackouts had already been scheduled in the region, details of which DTEK<\/a> reported yesterday.<\/p>\n

The power restrictions are linked to the consequences of previous Russian strikes on Ukraine\u2019s power grid. Due to the new damage, operators may have to alter the order in which electricity is supplied; however, it has not yet been confirmed whether additional emergency power cuts will be introduced following the reported strike in Vyshhorod.<\/p>\n
