He also stated that there had been an increase in cyberattacks from the Russian Federation, in particular those utilising artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>No public list of these ten targets, the exact dates of the strikes or the criteria used to record them is provided in the available sources. The number of attacks is therefore based on a statement by the head of government.<\/p>\n<h2>Damage to telecommunications infrastructure<\/h2>\n<p>On 23\u201324 September, Russian strikes damaged telecommunications facilities and data centres in Kyiv. Internet service providers and hosting companies reported disruptions to internet access for some users.<\/p>\n<p>On 19 October, Datagroup announced that its data centre in Kyiv had been put out of action as a result of a ballistic attack. The company stated that it had switched its services to backup facilities. \u00abDatagroup\u00bb provides telecommunications services in more than 90 localities.<\/p>\n<h2>Guidance for public authorities and backup systems<\/h2>\n<p>According to Koretsky, he has instructed central government bodies to staff their teams with cybersecurity specialists, allocate the necessary funds and deploy the relevant hardware and software. The Prime Minister also highlighted the experience of state digital services in countering cyber-attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, on 29 September, it was reported that the government had allocated 518 million hryvnias for backup digital systems for state bodies.
