Thus, the final price turned out to be almost 78% lower than the asking price.<\/p>\n<h2>Why do business owners sell their businesses in Kyiv?<\/h2>\n<p>Among the main challenges facing small businesses in the capital are falling demand and staff shortages.<\/p>\n<p>A fall in purchasing power has a direct impact on <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/economics\/restorany-kyieva-zakryttia-hruden-2026\/\">catering establishments<\/a>, the retail sector and the service sector. At the same time, the labour shortage is hampering the operations of even those businesses that have a loyal customer base.<\/p>\n<p>For owners of small businesses, keeping a business afloat is becoming increasingly difficult. They have to pay rent, utility bills, the cost of stock and staff wages, regardless of the number of customers.<\/p>\n<p>In such circumstances, some business owners decide to sell their established business, even if the proceeds do not cover their initial investment.<\/p>\n<h2>What is happening in the ready-made business market?<\/h2>\n<p>Selling a business at a significantly lower price does not necessarily mean that the business is making a loss. The owners may be changing their line of business, relocating, or simply unable to run the business themselves.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the examples cited by LIGA suggest that, in some cases, sellers are prepared to make significant concessions on price in order to find a buyer more quickly.<\/p>\n<p>However, the number of sales advertisements does not correspond to the number of businesses that have closed down.
