\u201cAn \u201dempire of fraudsters\" under the guise of business<\/h2>\n

As reported by Ukrainian Pravda<\/em><\/strong> with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies, Ukrainian special services dismantle a large-scale network of fraudulent call centres<\/strong>, which operated under the guise of legitimate business and were coordinated from Turkey.<\/p>\n

The main person involved in the case is Kocs Serdem, Turkey<\/strong>, also known as Koch Asmi<\/strong> or Bahar<\/strong>. She was the head of the \u201cgolden top\u201d of the scheme, which disguised fraudulent transactions as investment and trading services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe operators would call on behalf of well-known companies, offer profitable investments or goods, receive money, and then disappear,\u201d said a source in the SBU.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A scam on an international scale<\/h3>\n

According to the investigation, The victims were citizens of Ukraine, Turkey and several European countries<\/strong>. After exposing the network's activities Koch Serdem deported from Ukraine<\/strong>, but the remnants of the structure operated for some time in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian special services discovered several offices<\/strong>, and confiscated equipment and customer databases. The organisers of the scheme put on the international wanted list<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
