At the same time, he stressed that the war must first be brought to an end and reliable guarantees for Ukraine secured. According to Zelenskyy, these demands can be discussed, but only once the issue of the war has been resolved and Ukraine\u2019s security has been guaranteed.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abFirst, we need to resolve the issue of this war, and only then seek answers to the questions raised by Russia, based on its own vision and expectations regarding security,\u00bb the President said.<\/p>\n<p>The Financial Times points out that Ukraine and its Western partners had previously rejected Russia\u2019s demands, as these entailed restrictions on the sovereignty of neighbouring countries and a rethinking of the European security architecture.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time <strong>Zelensky<\/strong> He did not agree to any specific guarantees for Moscow and did not support Russia\u2019s conditions.<\/p>\n<h2>Russia wants separate agreements with the US and NATO<\/h2>\n<p>Zelenskyy explained that Moscow attaches a much broader meaning to the concept of security guarantees than simply a mutual cessation of attacks. According to him, Russia is seeking separate agreements with <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/politics\/novyi-myrnyi-plan-ssha-ukraina-donbas-nato\/\">NATO<\/a> or by the United States, which could affect the Alliance\u2019s military presence in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The President emphasised that discussing such issues without the European states is unacceptable, as the relevant decisions will directly affect their security.<\/p>\n<h2>The US and Russia are discussing oil, aviation and titanium<\/h2>\n<p>According to the Financial Times, US and Russian officials are simultaneously exploring the possibilities for resuming economic cooperation once the war has ended.<\/p>\n<p>Potential projects include joint ventures between major oil companies, the resumption of US airlines\u2019 use of Russian airspace, and cooperation in the production and supply of titanium.<\/p>\n<p>Washington regards economic agreements as one of the possible incentives for Moscow to agree to end the war.<\/p>\n<h2>Ukraine is preparing for talks in Abu Dhabi<\/h2>\n<p>In early November, Abu Dhabi plans to host <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/politics\/zelenskyi-perehovory-rf-lystopad-lytva-yes\/\">meeting of the negotiating teams<\/a> Ukraine, the USA and Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Possible topics include a halt to attacks on energy infrastructure, de-escalation in the Black Sea and the exchange of prisoners of war.<\/p>\n<p>Zelenskyy also emphasised that territorial issues can only be discussed at the level of heads of state.
