On 5 November, at least 15 flights were affected, and the total number of such incidents in recent days has exceeded 20. Some of the aircraft were diverted to other airports, whilst certain flights were escorted by military fighter jets. After landing, passengers were evacuated and the aircraft were inspected by bomb disposal experts.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news-summary-box\"><strong>Briefly about the main points<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Europe, more than 20 flights were searched following reports of explosives.<\/li>\n<li>On 5 November alone, at least 15 aircraft received bomb threats.<\/li>\n<li>An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome was diverted to a French military base.<\/li>\n<li>European military forces scrambled fighter jets to escort individual passenger aircraft.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>A flight from Dublin, which was due to land in Rome, landed at a military base in France<\/h2>\n<p>One of the most high-profile incidents involved an Aer Lingus Airbus A320 aircraft operating flight EI402 from Dublin to Rome.<\/p>\n<p>During the flight, a report was received of a possible explosive device on board. The crew changed course and made an unscheduled landing at the French military airbase at \u00c9vreux, approximately 100 kilometres west of Paris.<\/p>\n<p>There were 151 passengers and six crew members on board. Everyone was safely evacuated from the aircraft, after which bomb disposal experts were called in to inspect it.<\/p>\n<p>The French Prime Minister\u2019s Office has confirmed that the letter was forwarded <strong>S\u00e9bastien Lecornu<\/strong>. The airline explained that the change of route was necessary to comply with safety measures.<\/p>\n<h2>Fighter jets escorted passenger aircraft over Europe<\/h2>\n<p>Similar incidents have also occurred on flights to Italy.<\/p>\n<p>On 5 November, a Finnair aircraft flying from Helsinki to Rome received a warning about a possible explosive device. Fighter jets from the Italian Air Force were scrambled to escort the aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft landed safely at Fiumicino Airport, where law enforcement officers carried out the necessary checks. No explosives were found.<\/p>\n<p>A few days earlier, a similar incident occurred on a Wizz Air flight from London to Sofia. Following a bomb threat, the aircraft was diverted to Budapest, and the Hungarian military scrambled a Gripen fighter jet to escort it.<\/p>\n<p>The passenger aircraft landed safely, after which an inspection began.<\/p>\n<h2>Three Ryanair flights were searched in Bulgaria following bomb threats<\/h2>\n<p>On Thursday, 5 November, threats were received concerning three Ryanair aircraft en route to the Bulgarian capital.<\/p>\n<p>Two flights \u2014 from Copenhagen and Madrid \u2014 continued their journey to Sofia and landed at their scheduled airport.<\/p>\n<p>A third aircraft, which had taken off from London Stansted, was diverted to Plovdiv.<\/p>\n<p>After landing, law enforcement officers inspected the aircraft. The Bulgarian Ministry of Transport reported that no dangerous items were found.<\/p>\n<p>Following a spate of warnings, additional checks were also organised in Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic and Belgium.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the police in Prague inspected four aeroplanes. Units specialising in counter-terrorism and cybercrime were brought in to assist with the investigation.<\/p>\n<h2>A spate of reports began in early November<\/h2>\n<p>The first major disruptions to air travel were recorded as early as 2\u20133 November.<\/p>\n<p>At that time <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/main-news\/poland-bomb-threat-two-planes-warsaw\/\">report of an explosive device<\/a> Flights operated by LOT, SAS, Ryanair and Wizz Air were included.<\/p>\n<p>In Poland, a LOT flight from London was diverted to Modlin Airport instead of Warsaw\u2019s Chopin Airport. Operations were temporarily suspended whilst the aircraft was being inspected.<\/p>\n<p>Another SAS flight from Copenhagen landed in Warsaw on schedule, but one of the runways had to be closed due to a security threat.<\/p>\n<p>In Spain, the security services inspected a Ryanair flight that had arrived in Murcia from Manchester.<\/p>\n<p>On 3 November alone, law enforcement officers checked at least seven flights in various European countries. None of the reports of explosives received at that time were confirmed.<\/p>\n<h2>European authorities are investigating who is behind the reports<\/h2>\n<p>The British authorities have described the warnings as deliberate false reports intended to disrupt civil aviation.<\/p>\n<p>European law enforcement agencies are investigating a possible link between incidents that occurred almost simultaneously across several countries.<\/p>\n<p>European Commissioner for Transport <strong>Apostolos Dzidzikostas<\/strong> announced the use of European mechanisms for the exchange of information on aviation security.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the police have not yet established whether all the messages originate from a single source or whether they are linked to a coordinated campaign.<\/p>\n<p>There is no official confirmation of the involvement of any state, intelligence service or hacker group.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports from airlines and law enforcement agencies,
