According to Pavlyuchenko, the Kremlin is seeking the withdrawal of the Alliance\u2019s infrastructure from the Baltic states and Scandinavia.<\/p>\n<p>In effect, this is an attempt to link the end of the war against Ukraine to a review of the security arrangements of other European states.<\/p>\n<h2>Moscow is reportedly only allowing the presence of European troops in the west of Ukraine<\/h2>\n<p>Pavlyuchenko also reports on the Kremlin\u2019s position regarding the possible deployment of an international contingent in Ukraine once hostilities have ceased.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Dmitriev stated that Putin was prepared to consider the presence of \u00abCoalition of the Willing\u00bb forces, but only in the western regions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>An additional condition is reportedly to be compliance with Russia\u2019s broader security demands, in particular regarding the Ukrainian army and NATO.<\/p>\n<p>Such an approach would significantly limit the capabilities of the international contingent, which is regarded as one of the means of ensuring Ukraine\u2019s security.<\/p>\n<h2>The US is preparing for a new round of talks on Ukraine<\/h2>\n<p>Against the backdrop of these reports, preparations are continuing for <a href=\"https:\/\/ukrmedia.news\/en\/politics\/peregovory-ukraina-ssha-rosiya-abu-dabi-10-11-lystopada\/\">tripartite talks<\/a> between Ukraine, the US and Russia, scheduled for 10\u201311 November in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p>Following his meeting with Dmitriev, Trump expressed his hope that a broad agreement to end the war could be reached. At the same time, the US is holding consultations with Ukraine, NATO and its European partners regarding future security guarantees.<\/p>\n<p>German Chancellor <strong>Friedrich Merz<\/strong> stressed that Moscow must demonstrate the seriousness of its intentions regarding a ceasefire, and that European states should be involved in shaping a lasting peaceful settlement.<\/p>\n<p>Among the issues to be discussed in the forthcoming talks are a halt to attacks on energy infrastructure, security in the Black Sea and guarantees for Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>For the time being, reports of new Russian ultimatums remain based on information from a single source.
