Trump after meeting with Xi Jinping<\/h2>\n

President of the United States Donald Trump<\/strong> and the leader of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping<\/strong> spent almost a two-hour meeting in South Korea<\/strong>, where they discussed the geopolitical situation, trade relations and the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

After the talks, Trump made a number of statements that have already caused an international outcry.<\/p>\n

\u00abWe agreed that both sides - Ukraine and Russia - are engaged in a fight, and sometimes you have to let them fight. It's crazy,\u00bb Trump told reporters after the meeting.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The American president added that Xi Jinping promises to help resolve the conflict<\/strong>, but did not specify how.<\/p>\n

Context of the meeting<\/h3>\n

This is the first face-to-face meeting between the leaders of the United States and China in six years. It took place on the sidelines of the summit APEC 2025 in South Korea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main topics of discussion include trade duties, export of rare earth elements, security in the Pacific region<\/strong> and war in Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
