IAEA: Russian strike damaged substations important for Ukraine's nuclear safety<\/h2>\n

According to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)<\/strong>, due to of a combined Russian attack on Ukraine's energy system on 30 October<\/strong> A number of substations that are critical for Nuclear safety and security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Agency's teams, which are permanently located at Ukrainian nuclear power plants, reported loss of access to one of the external power lines<\/strong> on South Ukrainian<\/strong> and Khmelnytskyi NPP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the same time Rivne Nuclear Power Plant<\/strong> At the request of the power system operator, it was forced to reduce the capacity of two of its four power units<\/strong>, to stabilise power supply in the face of grid shortages and damage.<\/p>\n

The IAEA stressed that despite the difficult situation, reactors remain under control<\/strong>, and the security systems are operating as normal.<\/p>\n

In its statement, the agency called for stop attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure<\/strong>, as they create serious risks to the safety of nuclear facilities<\/strong>.
