Details of the verdict<\/h2>\n

High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine sentenced former SFS head Roman Nasirov to 6 years in prison<\/strong> in a case related to the activities of companies of a former MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko<\/strong>.
This is reported by the Public<\/strong> with reference to the court decision.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, Nasirov in 2015-2016 illegally granted tax deferrals<\/strong> to companies controlled by Onishchenko, than caused losses to the state of more than UAH 2 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Context.<\/h2>\n

    Roman Nasirov was dismissed from his post as head of the SFS in 2018 following a corruption scandal.
    His case was one of the first high-profile audits of fiscal authorities<\/strong> after the establishment of the NABU.<\/p>\n

    Nasirov has repeatedly denied his guilt, calling the case \u00abpolitically motivated\u00bb.
