Night strikes accounted for <strong data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"739\">264<\/strong> rockets. It was <strong data-start=\"753\" data-end=\"758\">6<\/strong> \u00absuper-raids\u00bb (3, 5, 10, 16, 22, 30 October).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"1110\">\n<p data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"1110\"><strong data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"877\">The most crowded days of October:<\/strong><br data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"880\" \/>30.10 - <strong data-start=\"890\" data-end=\"901\">705 ZPN<\/strong> (653 drones, 52 missiles); 05.10 - <strong data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"941\">549<\/strong> (496 drones, 53 missiles); 10.10 - <strong data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"982\">497<\/strong> (465\/32); 22.10 - <strong data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1008\">433<\/strong> (405\/28); 03.10 - <strong data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1034\">416<\/strong> (381\/35); 16.10 - <strong data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1060\">357<\/strong> (320\/37).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1350\">\n<p data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1350\"><strong data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1150\">That was shot down by Ukrainian air defence in October:<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1161\">11 269<\/strong> air targets (in particular <strong data-start=\"1188\" data-end=\"1204\">2 416 Shahed<\/strong>, dozens of cruise\/ballistic missiles, as well as thousands of other UAVs and reconnaissance aircraft) - the official summary of the AFU.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1351\" data-end=\"1521\">\n<p data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1521\"><strong data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1371\">CABs in October:<\/strong> in just one of the \u00abpeak\u00bb weeks - the <strong data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1417\">\u22481 360<\/strong> of guided bombs; in a month, we are talking about <strong data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1476\">several thousand<\/strong> CABs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1526\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"1528\" data-end=\"1568\">What happened in October - the dynamics of attacks<\/h2>\n<h3 data-start=\"1570\" data-end=\"1602\">Massive combined raids<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1603\" data-end=\"1945\">October was another month of \u00abconveyor belt\u00bb night shelling: <strong data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1688\">Not a single \u00abquiet\u00bb day<\/strong> without a UAV attack, six daily \u00abpeaks\u00bb, each with hundreds of targets simultaneously. The final statistics of the AFU's aircraft, summarised in day-to-day reports, show <strong data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"1834\">5 579<\/strong> of applied GST for the month (of which <strong data-start=\"1870\" data-end=\"1879\">5 314<\/strong> - drones; <strong data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"1896\">264<\/strong> - rockets).<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1947\" data-end=\"1974\">The highest number of flights of the month<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1975\" data-end=\"2166\">Night on the <strong data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"1995\">30 October<\/strong> - <strong data-start=\"1998\" data-end=\"2011\">705 targets<\/strong> (653 UAVs + 52 missiles). The scale of this particular strike was additionally reported by the international media (652-653 drones, 52 missiles).<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2168\" data-end=\"2182\">Air defence operations<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2183\" data-end=\"2541\">According to the official result of the PS, in October <strong data-start=\"2219\" data-end=\"2237\">11,269 destroyed<\/strong> air targets: thousands of UAVs (including <strong data-start=\"2275\" data-end=\"2291\">2 416 Shahed<\/strong>), as well as cruise and ballistic missiles of various types (X-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K\/M, X-59\/69, etc.). This reflects the extremely high intensity of air warfare and the expansion of the \u00abrange\u00bb of weapons on the part of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2543\" data-end=\"2546\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"2548\" data-end=\"2595\">KABs: the main \u00abcalibre\u00bb of Russian tactical aviation<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"2597\" data-end=\"3410\">\n<li data-start=\"2597\" data-end=\"2839\">\n<p data-start=\"2599\" data-end=\"2839\"><strong data-start=\"2599\" data-end=\"2635\">October (current intensity):<\/strong> according to the president and official reports, <strong data-start=\"2680\" data-end=\"2704\">in just one week<\/strong> Russia has applied <strong data-start=\"2720\" data-end=\"2730\">\u22481 360<\/strong> of guided aerial bombs; during the month <strong data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"2792\">several thousand<\/strong> CABs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2840\" data-end=\"3138\">\n<p data-start=\"2842\" data-end=\"3138\"><strong data-start=\"2842\" data-end=\"2866\">From the beginning of 2025:<\/strong> As of May, the Ministry of Defence reported <strong data-start=\"2908\" data-end=\"2919\">&gt;15 000<\/strong> CABs; in March-April, the following were recorded <strong data-start=\"2956\" data-end=\"2995\">peak monthly values ~3.3-5 thousand.<\/strong> (February-April). Since then, the rate has remained high, so the cumulative figure for the year is <strong data-start=\"3080\" data-end=\"3097\">tens of thousands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3139\" data-end=\"3410\">\n<p data-start=\"3141\" data-end=\"3410\"><strong data-start=\"3141\" data-end=\"3151\">Trend:<\/strong> Russia has launched mass production and upgrades (including rocket-propelled gliders) that increase the range of the bombs and make them more difficult to intercept, although the SAR has already reported <strong data-start=\"3333\" data-end=\"3357\">successful interceptions<\/strong> new samples.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"3412\" data-end=\"3415\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"3417\" data-end=\"3485\">Results for 2025 (as of today from public sources)<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"3712\" data-end=\"4506\">\n<li data-start=\"3712\" data-end=\"4000\">\n<p data-start=\"3714\" data-end=\"4000\"><strong data-start=\"3714\" data-end=\"3723\">UAVs:<\/strong> in 7 months of 2025, russia launched <strong data-start=\"3760\" data-end=\"3771\">\u224829 000<\/strong> drones; in the autumn, the pace remained at a record high (October <strong data-start=\"3839\" data-end=\"3851\">5.3 thousand.<\/strong> in night raids). In total for 2025 <strong data-start=\"3892\" data-end=\"3912\">more than 35-40 thousand.<\/strong> UAVs (assessment by trend and October peaks).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4001\" data-end=\"4257\">\n<p data-start=\"4003\" data-end=\"4257\"><strong data-start=\"4003\" data-end=\"4014\">Rockets:<\/strong> in January-July - in <strong data-start=\"4034\" data-end=\"4042\">\u2248951<\/strong> launch; in October <strong data-start=\"4060\" data-end=\"4068\">\u2248270<\/strong> only in terms of night raids (the most since 2023). In total, in 2025 <strong data-start=\"4136\" data-end=\"4154\">over 1.2 thousand.<\/strong> (estimate taking into account August-September and the October surge).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4258\" data-end=\"4506\">\n<p data-start=\"4260\" data-end=\"4506\"><strong data-start=\"4260\" data-end=\"4269\">CABs:<\/strong> for 2024 <strong data-start=\"4284\" data-end=\"4295\">~40 000<\/strong>; In the first months of 2025 - in <strong data-start=\"4323\" data-end=\"4334\">&gt;15 000<\/strong> (as of 01.05). Taking into account the summer and autumn waves, the total for 2025 is <strong data-start=\"4402\" data-end=\"4419\">tens of thousands<\/strong> (at least <strong data-start=\"4432\" data-end=\"4447\">25-30 thousand +<\/strong>, a cautious assessment).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"4508\" data-end=\"4511\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"4513\" data-end=\"4539\">Methodology and notes<\/h2>\n<ul data-start=\"4541\" data-end=\"5292\">\n<li data-start=\"4541\" data-end=\"4758\">\n<p data-start=\"4543\" data-end=\"4758\"><strong data-start=\"4543\" data-end=\"4566\">Sources for October:<\/strong> systematised daily reports of the AFU, compiled by Novynarnya into a \u00abcalendar of attacks\u00bb (peak dates, volumes of drones\/missiles; total for the month).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4759\" data-end=\"5060\">\n<p data-start=\"4761\" data-end=\"5060\"><strong data-start=\"4761\" data-end=\"4787\">Targets downed = targets launched:<\/strong> SAR reports on <strong data-start=\"4804\" data-end=\"4828\">11269 targets destroyed<\/strong> reflect the results of air defence operations (including on <strong data-start=\"4872\" data-end=\"4890\">intelligence<\/strong> UAVs, other drones, and targets outside of nighttime \u00absuper-raids\u00bb). These figures are not the same as the number of <strong data-start=\"4988\" data-end=\"5001\">launched<\/strong> in the night waves.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5061\" data-end=\"5292\">\n<p data-start=\"5063\" data-end=\"5292\"><strong data-start=\"5063\" data-end=\"5072\">CABs:<\/strong> Official monthly totals for Russian CABs are not published regularly; therefore, we use <strong data-start=\"5158\" data-end=\"5169\">weekly<\/strong> official statements (Zelenskyy) and MoD\/ArmyInform reports from previous months.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"5294\" data-end=\"5297\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"5299\" data-end=\"5324\">What this means for winter<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5326\" data-end=\"5524\">Russia holds <strong data-start=\"5340\" data-end=\"5358\">high frequency<\/strong> nighttime UAV raids and combines them with waves of missiles and massive use of <strong data-start=\"5438\" data-end=\"5447\">CABs<\/strong> in the frontline\/border regions. It is critical to minimise the consequences:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"5525\" data-end=\"5808\">\n<li data-start=\"5525\" data-end=\"5581\">\n<p data-start=\"5527\" data-end=\"5581\">build-up <strong data-start=\"5537\" data-end=\"5563\">anti-aircraft munitions<\/strong> and electronic warfare equipment;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5582\" data-end=\"5632\">\n<p data-start=\"5584\" data-end=\"5632\">strengthening multi-echelon air defence over the energy sector;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5633\" data-end=\"5808\">\n<p data-start=\"5635\" data-end=\"5808\">acceleration <strong data-start=\"5647\" data-end=\"5659\">raid<\/strong> capabilities (impressions of the carriers of the airbases\/airfields).
