Additional funds for air defence of the capital<\/h2>\n

Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko<\/strong> said that the city authorities plan to significantly increase funding for the capital's air defence. At its next session on 6 November, the Kyiv City Council will consider a draft decision to allocate another UAH 1 billion<\/strong> as part of the city's targeted programme \u00abDefender of Kyiv\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How the funds will be distributed<\/h3>\n

    UAH 900 million<\/strong> will be used to support military units engaged in air defence of Kyiv<\/strong>, and other units that protect the city from air attacks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    100 million UAH<\/strong> - to ensure Volunteer formations of the territorial community (VFTC)<\/strong>, that help protect the skies over the capital.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
