Norway to allocate $7 billion for defence needs of Ukraine in 2026<\/h2>\n

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal<\/strong> said that the Norwegian government has agreed to allocate 7 billion dollars<\/strong> aid in 2026. He announced this after a meeting with his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gar Sandvik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The funds will be used to support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine<\/strong>, The government has also been working to purchase weapons, strengthen air defence systems and restore damaged critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n

New aid package and strategic partnership<\/h3>\n

According to Shmygalya<\/strong>, This decision is part of a long-term programme of support for Ukraine that Norway has been implementing since 2022. As part of the programme, the country has already funded military and humanitarian projects worth more than 11 billion dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00abWe are grateful to the Norwegian government for its consistent assistance and support of the Ukrainian people. These funds will strengthen our defence and help us restore our energy infrastructure faster after Russia's attacks,\u00bb said Shmygal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
