Attack on CHPP-1 in Voronezh temporarily cuts off electricity supply<\/h2>\n

In the Russian city of Voronezh<\/strong> an attack on the CHP-1<\/strong>, one of the key energy facilities in the region.<\/p>\n

The capacity of the plant is 378.3 MW of electric power<\/strong> and 1389.3 Gcal\/h of heat energy<\/strong>. It provides four city districts<\/strong> and more thousand enterprises<\/strong>, including the largest local plant \u00abVoronezhsintezkauchuk\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Consequences of the incident<\/h2>\n

Russian media report on fire on the territory of the station<\/strong>, The situation led to a decision to temporarily suspend electricity supply and reduce heat supply to some areas of the city.<\/p>\n

\u00abDue to technological considerations, some houses could experience fluctuations in the temperature of the central heating. In the near future, the parameters will return to normal,\u00bb said local power engineers.<\/p>\n

Also for a short period of time electricity supply was cut off<\/strong> in a part of the city. Local authorities say that the system has been stabilised and that supply is being restored.<\/p>\n

CHPP-1 in Voronezh is one of the oldest in Central Russia. It supplies energy to industrial facilities, residential areas and the city's transport infrastructure.<\/p>\n
