Russia and Kazakhstan have signed Joint declaration on a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance<\/strong>, The Kremlin said.
The document sets out deepening political, economic and security cooperation between the two countries<\/strong>, The Russian Federation is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).<\/p>\n

    The signing took place during the visit of the Kazakh delegation to Moscow.
    President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin<\/strong> called Kazakhstan \u201ca key ally in Central Asia,\u201d and his Kazakh counterpart Kassim-Zhomart Tokayev<\/strong> stressed the \u201cmutual interest in stability and joint development\u201d.<\/p>\n

    Analysts note that Moscow is trying to increase its influence in Central Asia<\/strong>, The region has seen an increase in the economic presence of China and Turkey in recent years.<\/p>\n
